An extremely rare “pre-compax” Compur chronograph in a large 38-millimeter Spillman waterproof case.

Case: 38mm wide (excluding crown), 45mm tall, 13mm thick, all stainless steel Spillman case, screw-down case back, original unsigned crown, domed mineral crystal, pump pushers, serial 804xxx

Movement: UG caliber 386, manual winding, recently serviced 8/15/22

Bracelet/ Strap: Light brown stitched smooth calfskin, 20mm lug width

Features: Matte black dial, Arabic hour numerals, sword handset, screw-down case back, original crown, pump pushers, drilled lugs, domed crystal, 45-minute counting chronograph, column wheel in-house movement, circa 1943

Box & Papers: No

Condition: In overall very good condition. The dial is clean with a scratch that runs across on the upper half (only visible at some angles). The lume has been professionally corrected to match perfectly with period correct material. The case has some signs of light polishing in the past, and some scratches on the case back but overall excellent for this age. The movement has been professionally serviced and keeps accurate time when tested. The chronograph works well with buttery smooth action.
