This early “Pre-Yacht Club” IWC ref. 1828 is unique to say the least. The clearly heavily patina’d dial may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it makes the watch one of a kind without negatively impacting the watch’s condition. The original Gay Freres bracelet is in excellent condition & can be used daily.

Case: 35mm wide (excluding crown), 40.5mm tall, 10.5mm thick, all stainless steel, original signed crown, domed acrylic crystal

Movement: IWC cal. 8541B, automatic, recently serviced

Bracelet/ Strap: Original Gay Freres steel bracelet w/ signed clasp, 18mm lug width, will fit up to a 7 3/4” wrist with the option to remove links for a smaller fit

Features: Heavily patina’d dial, cushion steel case, screw-down case back, signed crown, date window, raised baton hour indices, baton handset, applied logo, original Gay Freres bracelet, circa 1971

Box & Papers: No

Condition: In overall very good all original condition. The dial clearly has heavy patina throughout. Please note this is not water damage and does not negatively hurt the watch’s condition. The hands, markers, and movement are clean and free of oxidization or rust. The case is great with no major scratches or dents, just smaller superficial scratches throughout. The bracelet is excellent with minimal stretch for a GF bracelet of this age. Can be used daily. The movement has been cleaned and keeps a very accurate time when tested on the machine.
