Universal Geneve Polarouter 'SAS'
Universal Geneve Polarouter 'SAS'
What We Fancy
Here at TWG, we’ve been fortunate enough to get in some truly stellar Polerouters over the years. This one here is without a doubt the most important. In the early 1950s, the Scandinavian Airline System (SAS) was attempting to shorten transatlantic flight path. To do so they needed to head more north over the artic circle. Back then this created issues with navigation and instruments due to the stronger magnetic fields Eventually this revolutionary flight was completed and changed commercial flying forever. To celebrate, a 24-year old Gerald Genta was given the task to create this commemorative watch. The Polerouter is born. These SAS models are extremely rare today and as of my research on 4/27/22, this is the only SAS Polerouter available on the online market.
