The Submariner is a staple in any vintage collection so finding good examples is difficult. This beautiful example from 1984 is the first year of the modern glossy dial for the ref. 5513's production. It’s in fantastic original condition with a clean dial, perfectly aged tritium lume, tight original bracelet, and sharp case with beveled lugs. What I personally love about this era of 5513 is they have some modern qualities but with vintage charm and feel. The perfect combination.

Bracelet/ Strap: Original signed Rolex steel Oyster ref. 93150 w/ 580 end links (will fit up to a 7 1/2” wrist w/ the option to remove links for a smaller fit), 20mm lug width

Features: Black gloss dial, Mercedes handset, white gold hour surrounds, original tritium lume, outer rotating diving bezel, screw-down crown/ case back, domed acrylic crystal, original bracelet, circa 1984

Box & Papers: No

Condition: In overall excellent original condition. The dial is fantastic with no defects or blemishes. The tritium lume has aged to a beautiful creamy yellow and the lume pip is still intact. The bezel is great and rotates well with resistance in both directions. The case is great with some minor dings but nothing major and some superficial scratches throughout. It remains sharp with original beveled lugs so a polishing in unlikely. The bracelet is tight with minimal stretch and can be worn daily comfortably. The movement has been recently serviced and keeps excellent time when tested on the machine.
