These Grand Seiko models are by no means rare as the market remains plentiful. Finding examples in condition such as this one we have here is indeed rare. A very sharp unpolished case and clean dial, this is one of the best examples of the 56GS we’ve ever come across.

Case: 36.5mm wide (excluding crown), 41mm tall, 10mm thick, all stainless steel, screw-down case back, original signed crown, domed crystal, serial 176xxx

Bracelet/ Strap: Atlantic Blue Saffiano (MSRP: $65), 18mm lug width

Features: Warm dial patina, raised baton hour indices, day/date window applied logos, roulette date wheel blue/black, screw-down case back, signed crown, original crystal, hi-beat movement, circa July 1971

Box & Papers: No

Condition: In overall excellent all original condition. The dial has some light warm patina throughout.No discoloration or defects. The case is sharp and likely has not been polished. The case has retained its sharp edges and brushed finishing between the lugs. There are smaller superficial scratches that can be seen when inspecting up close. The movement has been serviced and keeps very accurate time when tested on the timegraph.
