What We Fancy
Rare bird alert. First off, Healthways was one of the very first dive gear producers in the 1950’s. This watch was produced in 1955 making it one of the earliest dive watches to hit the market. These ESPA compressor-style cases were introduced in 1955 and ENICAR was one of the first to adopt them. What I personally love about these early style divers is the lume, there is no shortage of it and during the design of the dial, the first and foremost important aspect was to make sure it was visible underwater. Something only really seen in some models of military watches at the time.
