Here we have a rare piece from Benrus. This military-style wrist alarm AKA Steve Mcqueen “Bullitt” model. A watch with many of the same design characteristics as its time only sibling, the “Bullitt”, This model was worn by Steven Mcqueen in the 1968 action thrilller film of the same name. The time-only models have become very hard to find while the alarm variation is damn near impossible to.

Case: 34mm wide (excluding crowns), 41mm long, all stainless steel, snap-on case back, domed acrylic crystal, dual unsigned crowns

Movement: Benrus caliber DS 10, manual winding, recently serviced

Bracelet/ Strap: Espresso Brown Smooth Calfskin (MSRP: $65), 18mm lug width

Features: 24-hour matte black dial, Arabic hour indices, white syringe handset, red arrow alarm hand, alarm feature, dual crowns, domed acrylic crystal, circa the 1960s

Box & Papers: No

Condition: In overall very good condition. The dial is very good and has no major blemishes or defects. The lume on the hour indices and in the handset is original and some loss can be seen. The case does not show any signs of any overpolishing and the original finishing can still be seen. There are no major scratches and or dents. Just smaller superficial scratches throughout. The movement has been recently serviced and keeps accurate time when tested. The alarm functions properly.
